The Generation Global App brings the world to your fingertips - whether you want to know more about global topics, talk with your peers in a safe and inclusive space, or build communication skills for your future, the Generation Global App makes it possible and easy for you to connect and engage with young people from all over the world.
In celebration of the Generation Global App release, we invite young people (ages 13-17) to capture and share what it looks like and means for you to have access to the world.
Send us a photograph of your interpretation of 'The World at your Fingertips' - this can be a digital photograph or an image of a piece of artwork you have created. Be sure to include a one paragraph description that explains your image and what it means to you. Some ideas that may inspire you:
Having the world at my fingertips means...
- I am part of a global community.
- I have access to places I may not be able to visit today.
- I can grow by learning from my peers' experiences.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in this photo contest, it's essential that you have downloaded and signed up on the Generation Global App. Get the app from the Google Play Store or from the Apple App Store.
How to Participate:
- Must be an image in a JPEG, PNG, or PDF file format (preferably in your name)
- Must include a one paragraph description (3-5 sentences) explaining your image and how it relates to you having the world at your fingertips
- You can enter the contest in two ways:
- Google Form: Click on this link, provide your details, and upload your photograph via the form
- Instagram Submission: Upload your photo as a 'Post' on Instagram. Don't forget to tag @gen_global and use the hashtags #GenerationGlobalApp. Remember to include a description explaining your image in the Instagram post.
Guidelines:
- This competition is only open to young people aged 13-17.
- Photos should NOT include the faces of other individuals. Submissions with others' faces will not be eligible for consideration.
- Make sure you send us your submission before the deadline on the 25th November!

The top 3 winners will receive a special prize from the Generation Global team.
