About Peace Day Dialogues
Observed globally on 21 September, the International Day of Peace calls on all of us to take action for a more just and peaceful world. In 2025, under the theme “Act Now for a Peaceful World,” we recognise that everyone in our community - students, educators, and partners - has a role to play in building a culture of peace.
In honour of the International Day of Peace (21 September), Generation Global invites young people around the world to join the Peace Day Dialogues 2025, a series of live video conferences exploring what peace and security look like in their own communities, what actions support it, and how global peace affects us all.

Testimonials
"In a dialogue about peace and security, I learned that cooperation and effective communication are crucial. I also realized that peace and security are not just about the absence of conflict, but also about creating a safe and stable environment."

"During the dialogue on peace and security, I learned that open discussions help resolve conflicts by promoting understanding and reducing misunderstandings. Peace is not just about avoiding war but also about ensuring justice and equality. I also realized personal experiences shape our views on security, sometimes leading to misinformation. For example, participants shared different perspectives on how their countries handle peace, showing the importance of dialogue in breaking stereotypes. This experience taught me that respectful conversations encourage empathy, cooperation, and a better understanding of global issues."
