The COP30 Climate Conference, scheduled for November 2025 in Belém, Brazil, is a landmark global event where world leaders, experts, and activists gather to address the urgent climate crisis. In honour of COP30, Generation Global invites young people to participate in the COP30 Youth Dialogues, a series of online video conferences where they can engage with peers worldwide, share their personal climate action experiences, voice concerns, and explore the impact of climate change in their communities as the world strives for a sustainable future.
During the COP30 Youth Dialogues, participants aged 13–17 will join 60-minute virtual conversations on climate change. Guided by Generation Global's facilitators, these dialogues provide a unique space for young people to reflect on climate impacts in their lives and hear diverse perspectives from around the world.
Certificate of Participation
All young people who participate in a COP30 Youth Dialogue video conference will receive a certificate of participation, recognising their foundational knowledge of the topic and their application of dialogue skills.

Overview
Aims
In this video conference dialogue with your global peers, you will have the opportunity to share and learn about climate change and its impact locally and globally while practising key dialogue skills:
- Sharing - speak for yourself only and not on behalf of others; use 'I' and not 'we'.
- Responding - stay curious; ask critical questions; seek clarification for what you do not understand; show you value the contributions of others
- Reflecting - keep asking yourself what you are learning, how you are learning and what this new learning means for you.
Dialogue should evolve, so we don't want you to come to this dialogue with scripted questions or speeches, but you might want to think about these things prior to the video conference:
- If you were at COP30, what personal story would you bring to leaders about the impact of climate change?
- What message do you think is most important for world leaders to understand about climate action? Why?
- How do you think your community's experience with climate change is connected to what other communities are facing?
Tips
- Being nervous is normal. The best way to overcome your nerves is to join in. Be brave!
- Make sure you are in a space where you will not be disturbed or distracted by others (or devices). Be focused!
- This is a time for you to share, but also a time for you to learn about the experiences and thoughts of others. Be curious!
Testimonials
"I believe that our active dialogue on how climate change is experienced differently in different countries made me learn new things. My exchange with a Pakistani student made me realize that the impact of climate change can affect other people worse that it affect me in a global scope."
- Participant in COP29 Youth Dialogues from Turkey
"In this dialogue I learnt about the impact of climate change on different areas of the world. For instance, i learnt about the droughts in Mexico and the air pollution in India. Hearing their perspectives was really insightful as we usually don't get the chance to engage with people so far away."
- Participant in COP29 Youth Dialogues from the Netherlands
