Welcome to our Q1 2025 newsletter!

2025 is off to a powerful start for Generation Global. In March, we proudly joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) a milestone that strengthens our mission and expands opportunities to connect more young people through dialogue and global learning.

We also launched the Dialogue Diary, a special publication celebrating the voices of young people and educators in our community. And in its fourth year, #MyFreedomDay Dialogues brought together over 260 students from 15 countries to explore the realities of modern slavery and the importance of digital safety and survivor support.

We were honoured to be recognised in the UNESCO Global Education Coalition 2025 Annual Report, highlighting our role in equipping young people with dialogue-based skills for global citizenship and employability.

Testimonials

“In today’s polarised world, programmes promoting tolerance become increasingly crucial. Generation Global creates a safe and inclusive space for young people to develop positive attitudes and skills to navigate this ever-changing world. I hope the programme inspires students to embrace diversity, not only on a global scale but also within Indonesia’s rich cultural contexts.”
- Wati Wardani, Retired Facilitator and Country Coordinator, Indonesia

“When I joined Generation Global, I opened the door to an online adventure. A door to a world of stories, perspectives, and voices beyond my own. I spoke with people from distant lands and found myself in their words - sometimes challenged, often inspired, always changed. It’s rare to find a space where you are not only allowed, but encouraged to question, to share, to be. I now understand that empathy travels faster than borders, and change begins with a single conversation. I’ve listened, I’ve learned - and above all, I’ve grown. It didn’t just offer me a place to share; it gave me a purpose. It taught me that when young minds speak with courage and curiosity, change isn’t just possible - it’s inevitable.”
- Kshirin Maitray, Student, India
