The rights of girls and women aren't a distant issue — they live in classrooms, families, and communities everywhere. In every society, girls and women are navigating questions of equality, opportunity, and belonging. Their experiences are vastly different.
This isn't just a girls' issue. It never was. It's about the world we all live in, and what kind of world we want it to be.
About Girls Day Dialogues
Every year on 11 October, the world marks the International Day of the Girl Child, a United Nations observance dedicated to recognising the rights of girls and the unique challenges they face. First established in 2011 and rooted in the landmark 1995 Beijing Declaration, the day is a call to action: to ensure every girl has access to education, healthcare, safety, and the freedom to shape her own future.
In honour of International Day of Girl Child, Girls Day Dialogues invite young people from across the world to come together in live, facilitated video conferences and talk genuinely about gender equality — what it looks like where they live, what it means to them personally, and what they're already doing to change it.
These aren't panel discussions. There are no experts in the front of the room. Just young people, skilled facilitators, and a space for conversation that shifts how you see the world.
You won't leave with the answers. You'll leave seeing the question differently.
