Young People
You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.
Generation Global gives you different ways to meet people, explore ideas, build useful capabilities, contribute your perspective and take action on things you care about.
I want to...
If you are between the ages of 13-17, Dialogue Exchange helps you communicate with young people from around the world to explore topics that connect us all.
Join our community of dialogue to learn and practice essential skills: Share your perspective, listen to others, think critically about and question topics, and reflect on how we are growing together.
Get started in a global conversation on our Ultimate Dialogue Adventure platform in moderated written dialogue spaces or take part in live video conferences with young people from around the world.
Create or join a Festival of Hope!
What is your community talking about? What is being ignored? What would you like people to question, explore or change?
Festival of Hope helps young people create spaces around the issues they care about. A festival might involve conversations, art, speakers, workshops, challenges or a project that continues long after the event itself.
You can participate in a Festival or work with others to create one in your own school or community.
Explore the Global Youth Action Fund!
If you are aged 12 to 19 and already working on a project in your community, the Global Youth Action Fund could help with a grant and practical support.
Every project connects to at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
You do not need to attend an IB World School.
Meet the Youth Advisory Council!
The Youth Advisory Council brings together 12 IB students and recent alumni across all IB programs (PYP, MYP, CP, and DP) from around the world to represent student voice in the IB.
Council members work directly with the IB, contributing their experiences and perspectives to programme development, partnerships and wider conversations about education.
IBlieve is built by IB students, for IB students.
Its global student-led team offers free high-quality IB resources, online community and events, and peer mentoring and tutoring across IB programs (MYP, CP, and DP), created by recent graduates and current students who understand the IB experience first-hand.
IBlieve offers 250+ free resources (articles, YouTube videos, Instagram posts, weekly newsletters, podcast episodes) made by IB students that you can explore today!
What you build along the way
Generation Global is about more than completing an activity.
Across these experiences you can practise communicating across difference, asking better questions, thinking critically, reflecting on what you learn, understanding complex issues, working with others and turning an idea into action.
You may move between these opportunities over time. There is no required sequence and no single definition of success.
