What is the Ultimate Dialogue Adventure?
The Ultimate Dialogue Adventure, or UDA, is an immersive way to learn and practise dialogue, explore different perspectives and build intercultural connections.
As you progress, you can:
- learn the five core skills of dialogue
- earn experience points, badges and certificates
- explore contemporary global topics
- participate in moderated Dialogue Spaces
- unlock live video conferences
- unlock time limited quizzes
The experience is designed specifically for young people aged 13 to 17 and can be accessed through a laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile device.

Every adventure begins with the Learning Dojo.
Before joining the wider global community, you must complete three short learning modules to prepare you for your dialogic journey:

Each section takes around 20 minutes.
Explore your adventure
Once you have completed the Learning Dojo, you can choose to explore any of the 19 interactive topics to prepare you for dialoguing with peers:

Each topic provides a foundational understanding of the topic in a short 15-20 minute module through videos, infographics, case studies, and interactive exercises. When you have completed the topic, you decide what you want to dialogue about in the topic dialogue space with your peers.
Completing a topic opens its corresponding Dialogue Space.
Here you can put the five skills into practice through written dialogue with other young people.
Share your unique voice. Ask questions. Listen through what others write. Think critically about other perspectives and reflect on what you learn.
Dialogue Spaces are moderated to support meaningful interaction and help keep the community safe.
Dialogue is something you develop through practice.
As you participate constructively in the Ultimate Dialogue Adventure, you earn experience points (XP) and progress through your journey.
Your participation can unlock new opportunities, including live video conferences where you can practise spoken dialogue with global peers.
Quizzes are a new, time-limited feature on Ultimate Dialogue Adventure. Released once a quarter, each quiz is a short set of questions built around a theme and focused on dialogue skill, and is only available to take during a defined date range.
Each quiz mixes different question types, such as completing a sentence, audio-based questions, or flashcards, and typically includes 3–5 questions.
Understanding a dialogue skill and applying it in the moment aren't always the same thing. Quizzes give you a quick way to test whether your skills hold up in practice — with real scenarios, not just recall — and get direct feedback on where you stand.
Use the UDA with your class
Young people can join independently, but educators can also integrate the Ultimate Dialogue Adventure into classroom and extracurricular learning.
Through the Teacher Portal, educators can invite learners, create groups, assign topics and follow progress.
