Slums, making up only 6% of Kenya's overall land area are home to 60% of the country's population, according to Kibera Statistics.
Through research and discussion with professionals, we found out Kenya is facing issues like the limited area for housing and construction, health challenges, and lack of educational resources. Therefore, aiming to contribute to SDG3- good health and well-being, SDG4- Quality education, and SDG9- Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, we target to visit Kenya and raise awareness of sanitation, construct lessons through interactive games, and finally to improve school facilities with simple infrastructure and innovation.
Our ultimate goal is to help children devleop their confidence, social skills, and sense of self-value as well as to improve their living conditions. We will be producing a series of videos and documentaries, which we hope will be widely disseminated so that more people realize the authentic life and situation in Kenya.
