The 2nd Life Clothing Upcycling Project

The "Second-Life Clothing Upcycling Project" is an ongoing student-led project with the main goal of promoting sustainable communities and empowering refugee women.

The "Second-Life Clothing Upcycling Project" is an ongoing student-led project with the main goal of promoting sustainable communities and empowering refugee women.

In this project, we collect donated and unused clothing from our school community and work with Greater Action, an NGO that supports Afghan refugee women, to upcycle these materials into handmade products.

These items are then sold at school events and at our school's merchandise store, where all of our profits are returned to the women to support their income. Through this project, we aim to reduce textile waste while empowering refugee women with a long-term opportunity, creating both environmental and social impact.

In the future, we hope to expand our impact by continuing to make even more upcycled products, new designs, and strengthening our partnership to ensure improved results and long-term change.
