Aasha (Hope): The Cancer Care Package
‘Aasha (Hope): The Cancer Care Package’, is designed to support cancer warriors undergoing cancer treatment by addressing their emotional needs.
The package includes a manual (a cancer guidebook), motivational quotes (for uplifting emotional well-being), helpline cards (for easy access to information), a mandala colouring book with colours to encourage mindfulness, a lucky charm to inspire hope, a medicine organiser, and more, to bring ease and comfort to the treatment journey.
My inspiration came from close family members who have battled cancer. Their strength, resilience, & perseverance deeply moved me and made me reflect on the emotional challenges many patients face alongside their physical treatment. I realised how meaningful small acts of care & sensitivity can be during such times, and I felt driven to create something that could offer both comfort & hope to others in similar situations.
At its heart, this project is about empathy — recognizing the silent struggles of cancer warriors and responding with emotional understanding. I hope to expand the reach of these packages to hospitals, cancer care centres, support groups, & NGOs, so that more patients feel supported & uplifted during their journey. Even the smallest act of compassion can make a world of difference.
