ArthiEase
ArthiEase is a multifunctional assistive tool designed to help arthritis patients perform daily dressing tasks with ease and independence.
Inspired by my grandmother’s struggle with multiple single-purpose tools that caused confusion and frustration, I set out to create a single, compact solution that simplifies dressing routines. The tool features interchangeable attachments for buttoning, zipping, untying shoes, and fastening jewelry, all with an ergonomic, non-slip grip that minimizes strain.
My goal is to restore dignity and confidence to individuals who face physical limitations by providing a product that is intuitive, practical, and comfortable to use. ArthiEase not only addresses a common yet often overlooked need, but it also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Through this project, I hope to raise awareness about inclusive design and inspire other young innovators to tackle real-world challenges with empathy and creativity.
With the support of the Global Youth Action Fund, I aim to finalize the prototype, incorporate user feedback, and produce a ready-to-use version that can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
