Beth Smith

Beth is a pioneer in the sphere of citizen engagement and youth led initiatives having worked as a researcher and practitioner across governments, the education sector and NGO’s internationally. Originally from Wales, her work as the Programme Manager for Democratic Innovation at The Cynefin Co has developed and influenced practice across the globe. Beth’s work builds on the foundations of Dave Snowden’s, developing and applying it with a particular focus on the power of collaboration, equality and diversity to create new forms of democratic decision-making and community development. She is also a trustee for the Foundation for Democracy and Sustainable Development and has previously worked as a policy advisor to the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, responsible for public involvement and democratic and digital innovation.
