Chaslife Woodworks Initiative
Our project includes us working together with a tertiary education institution called Chaslife University, which provides free education of theoretical and vocational knowledge.
Our goal while working with Chaslife University is to introduce a new skill in carpentry. We believe that skills are a hands-on form of knowledge that can allow people to ‘get by’ even without attaining formal employment. Hence, what we wish to do is work together with Chaslife so that we can allow their programme to be even better; so that more of the community around them/us, can have access to a wider variety of skills, and have a way to make beneficial growth in their lives. Yet this will only be the beginning… Carpentry is the first skill we will be implementing, but it will not be the end. We further have plans to implement a plumbing course as well to Chaslife. We believe that the sky is the limit!
