Profile
Crew of Care
Crew of Care is a student-led, non-profit organization based in Canada that strives to provide equitable healthcare for everyone in the world.
Currently, we are highly focused on assisting Indigenous communities in Ontario, Canada, to receive equitable healthcare. The structural inequity towards Indigenous people lies deep within not only institutional services but also in our day-to-day lives. This is very evident in the world of western medicine. Oftentimes, the Indigenous perspective and needs towards medicine are oppressed and ignored. We must spread awareness towards this particular issue, and work together to diminish such inequalities. Through hosting charity events such as Coffeehouse events and charity matches, and launching educational workshops, we raise donations and raise awareness. Through the IB, we would like to let the global population know of the systematic inequality that is occurring everywhere in the world and expand even further. Our goal is to eventually diminish all medical inequalities towards marginalized communities in the world, and through the young leaders of the International Baccalaureate, we aspire to let everyone feel comfortable financially, psychologically and culturally when receiving deserved treatments.
