As the demand for dates continues to rise, it becomes increasingly important to engage communities and create sustainable practices, we can engage our school community, advise students to collect date seeds from home, wash them and bring them to school for collection.
This is an easy way to collect date seeds, it is also better and more sustainable for the environment as they will be used to make coffee, rather than being thrown away. We made the decision to involve the school community in the promotion of our sustainable date coffee product since it can be a great approach to spread awareness of environmental responsibility and encourage sustainable practices. Moreover, the farmers’ participation in our production of date coffee can have various benefits, like advancing fair trade practices, boosting the sustainability of our supply chain, and strengthening local communities. This would allow the farmers to sustainably produce and reduce waste and improve their income and standards of living. Not to mention that We also aim to provide the farmers with higher incomes to improve their lives and promote economic sustainability.
