Dear Friend
Dear Friend is a project born from the deep desire to give voice to those who often keep everything in their hearts, the students who eat alone, who sometimes feel invisible, who carry unspoken doubts and dreams.
We offer them something simple yet powerful: a handwritten letter, a personal space where they can pour out their feelings, knowing that someone across the hall, or across the world, will open it, read their words, and feel connected. In a fast digital world, returning to pencil and paper becomes an act of empathy and presence.
We aim to build a global network of emotional support, where students not only express emotions but also strengthen empathy, resilience, and communication. Starting locally, the project will expand across cultures, languages, and countries, offering students a chance to practice a second or even third language, discovering the value and power of their words.
Dear Friend is not just a creative activity; it’s a tool for wellbeing and connection, turning loneliness into companionship and uncertainty into bridges. With the IB’s support, we believe this project can inspire students and communities worldwide to believe in the power of simple, shared words and open hearts.
