Profile
Diplovate's 'Basics to International Relations' course for the blind.
Our project, under Diplovate, focuses on equipping visually impaired students at a local blind centre with skills in international relations, public speaking, and critical thinking.
Through interactive workshops, simulations, and discussions on global affairs, we aim to create an inclusive learning environment where students can engage with topics often considered inaccessible.
The initiative was born out of the realization that these students possess strong intellectual curiosity and communication potential, yet lack exposure to platforms like debates and Model United Nations. By adapting teaching methods to be more accessible and sensory-inclusive, we strive to bridge this gap.
With the support of the Global Youth Action Fund, we hope to expand the program, introduce structured modules, and create opportunities for these students to participate in larger forums. Our long-term goal is to ensure that disability is not a barrier to engaging with global discourse, but rather a perspective that enriches it.
