Early Sports Empowerment for African Children
For millions of children across generations in Africa, playing makeshift football made from polythene bags is a relatable part of upbringing.
While it is certainly fun to meet playmates and make friends in the alleyways and bare lands, this cycle means that the exploration of athletic talent at a young age has mostly remained out of reach. The Early Sports Empowerment For African Children project aims to end this seemingly unbreakable cycle of talent underutilization by constructing sports facilities and providing equipment, along with organizing coaching programs. With the aim of providing opportunities for children to discover their talents, I hope that this project will impact as many local children as possible and inspire a broader campaign for children’s exposure to sports.
