Eco-Cole from Societas Terrae
Our team, Societas Terrae, aims to launch a successful recycling awareness campaign and practices within our school to increase recycling rates and classification of waste. To achieve this, we are going to record impactful videos that will take our school community on a visual journey through the lifecycle of waste in our city.
Our cameras will document the enormous volume of trash arriving at the local landfill, offering a real perspective on the scale of our consumption. We will then visit recycling collection centers to showcase the vital process of material recovery and the potential for waste to become valuable resources. Finally, we will explore a composting site, demonstrating how organic waste can be transformed back into nutrient-rich soil, closing the loop in a sustainable way.
These videos will vividly illustrate the environmental impact of unseparated waste and empower students and teachers to understand the crucial role we all play in making a difference. By demonstrating the real benefits of proper waste separation, from reducing landfill burden to enriching our soil, we aspire to foster a culture of responsible waste management and significantly elevate recycling participation in our school and other schools in our city.
