Eco Reflect
Eco Reflect is an initiative focused on reducing night-time road accidents involving stray animals, a common issue in cities like Jaipur where low visibility often leads to collisions affecting both animals and people.
To address this, I developed simple, low-cost reflective collars using eco-friendly polyester fabric, avoiding toxic radium and reducing plastic use. By significantly lowering production costs, the aim was to make the solution more accessible and scalable.
With support from local authorities, veterinarians, and volunteers, over 1,000 collars have been deployed in high-risk areas. Going forward, I hope to continue refining the design and gradually expand the initiative to more regions. The goal is to contribute in a practical way to safer roads while promoting sustainable and responsible solutions.
I plan on creating a platform that allows individuals to purchase these collars at cost from us and then I will put more collars for each collar purchased I’m planning to build a platform where individuals can purchase these collars at cost, and for every collar bought, we’ll deploy additional collars to expand the initiative’s impact.
