Unlike traditional approaches, my project uses art as a way to address plastic pollution in Thailand’s coastal communities, where it is harming both marine and human life.
It started with a simple idea of hosting a trash cleanup with a local school, which further developed into meaningful artworks made from the up-cycled trash, which were then auctioned off.
I now aim to expand this into a community-based education program. By working with local artists and schools in southern Thailand, I will teach the younger generation to turn plastic waste into mixed media art pieces, combining environmental awareness with creative skill-building.
Through this approach, I hope to promote a circular economy where waste is reused and repurposed into meaningful products that can generate income for local communities.Ultimately, I aim to empower youth as environmental stewards and future leaders, introduce waste management practices, and raise broader awareness of ocean conservation.
