Farm to Fork Greenhouse Project
We know that Jordan imports a lot of food goods instead of growing our own.
The new generation doesn't have an awareness of food security and sovereignty in our country. And a lot of what we eat is processed and contains a lot of chemicals. So the Farm to Fork Greenhouse Project aims to create fresh produce for our school, by building a greenhouse and growing vegetables and herbs to be used in the school cafeteria. Additionally, we will also raise awareness with a network of public schools to use the space to grow their own and involve local community women and primary school students to embroider, sew, and draw on eco-friendly products such as tote bags, mugs, and stickers to sell. Our hope is that in doing this, we will be changing the school culture to a sustainable circular economy.
