F.I.R.E
Project F.I.R.E is a free, student-centered digital platform aiming to bridge the gap between opportunity and awareness in schools.
Roughly 1 year ago, we realized that we unknowingly missed out on many opportunities simply because we were not aware of them. Since then, what started out as a three-founder project is now a team of seven working towards making Project F.I.R.E a reality.
The platform would serve as a personalized database where students can filter or discover opportunities, such as events, competitions, internships, or leadership opportunities, depending on their interests or aspirations. For example, if a student has the interest or aspiration of pursuing engineering, they can easily access opportunities related to STEM activities.
The organizers of the opportunities can upload the opportunities, while a teacher acts as the overseer of the system. Students can easily identify the opportunities of interest using the tagging system. Our goal is to help democratize opportunities, empower students to take the initiative, and help students identify their passions through a structured system.
