Profile
FirstCare
FirstCare is a youth-led initiative in Thailand, established by Mena Kajornprasart and Nunnapat Romsala, that aims to strengthen emergency preparedness in rural communities where access to immediate medical care is often delayed.
Through our past experiences and community engagement, we identified a critical gap in Thailand: preventable injuries can become life-threatening not due to a lack of healthcare, but because communities lack the tools and knowledge to respond in the first moments of an emergency.
Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, our project equips communities with essential first-aid kits and practical, hands-on training. To date, we have distributed first-aid kits across various rural provinces and led training workshops that have certified participants in our community. With further support, we aim to expand both access and education by delivering structured workshops and developing youth-friendly resources, including an interactive first-aid learning book.
Our goal is to build confidence, ensuring individuals feel prepared and capable of taking safe action during emergencies. Through community-centered and sustainable approaches, FirstCare strives to promote equitable healthcare access and empower individuals to act when it matters most.
