Profile
Flush for Change
Flush For Change project will be able to provide 42 children studying at rural areas with access to clean and safe toilets.
Access to dignified sanitation will empower communities, especially women and girls by promoting hygiene practices, enhancing privacy and enabling participation in education and economic activities. Over 4.2 billion people worldwide lack access to adequate sanitation facilities, resulting in the spread of diseases and contamination of water. Rural areas are especially places that lack sanitation access. These unfortunate occurrences are driving forces of rural-urban migration often resulting in loss of cultural practices and abandoned houses. Flush For Change project will be able to take a small step towards enhancing proper sanitation through a community and youth engaged construction that uses sustainable materials. Volunteers will advocate proper sanitation and maintenance practices to address problems in the long run after its establishment. I truly hope to see a better world, where no individual lacks access to safe and sustainable toilet facilities. A utopia where poor sanitation is not a barrier to harness your potentials.
