Fundamentos do Dinheiro
Fundamentos do dinheiro is a social project founded in 2021 by three friends interested in finance. Based in the city of Curitiba in the state of Paraná, Brazil, the idea of the project was to bring financial education to the public in a simple, objective, modern and free manner.
The online and in-person courses (held in Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro) explore 5 modules that range from “Simple and compound interest” to “Investments and retirement”. Nowadays, the original financial project has reached more than 45000 students all across Brazil.
With the growth of the project, came the construction of a group that has now begun to invest in a new subarea of the project: Fundamentinhos. This new section will focus on expanding the public to young children between the ages of 7 to 9, teaching them the fundamentals of what is money, how to count and compare amounts, how to distinguish between need and want and finally what an allowance is as a first form of salary.
The purpose of the project is to help children and young adults prepare for the future in the present, helping to improve financial education which is still precarious in Brazil.
