Profile
Fursa XI
Fursa XI is a student-led sports equity movement redefining what’s possible for girls in rural India, one match, one mentor, one moment at a time.
In communities where dreams often end at the sidelines, we’re using football as a vehicle to break deep-rooted gender and economic barriers. Our flagship innovation, the EQ Locker, is a mobile, peer-run gear bank that puts cleats, jerseys, and confidence into the hands of girls who’ve always had the will but never the way. Backed by structured training, mentorship, and community-run tournaments, Fursa XI transforms quiet talent into fearless leaders. Each QR code on our Digital Guide opens a world of drills, techniques, and real stories from players who once watched from the stands, and now own the pitch. We’ve trained 50+ girls, mentored 15 into leadership roles, and seen 16 qualify for district-level play. With the Global Youth Action Fund, we’re scaling to 3,000+ girls across 20+ schools, because talent isn’t rare, access is. Fursa XI isn’t just about playing the game. It’s about rewriting it. It’s about showing the world what happens when girls stop being spectators and start becoming champions.
