Girls Lead Health is a student-led initiative based in Dutse, Abuja, focused on improving adolescent girls’ health through peer learning and community engagement.

Led by students of Thakia Zenith Academy, the project creates safe spaces where girls can learn about menstrual health, hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing in a way that feels relatable and respectful.

Through school sessions and community outreach, students engage with their peers and local families to share simple, accurate health information and encourage open conversations around topics that are often not discussed.

The project aims to build confidence, improve health awareness, and empower girls to make informed decisions about their wellbeing. By placing young people at the center, Girls Lead Health hopes to create lasting change where informed girls grow into healthier individuals and contribute positively to their communities.
