Hemisphere Project
The Hemisphere Project is a youth organization focused on addressing plastic waste.
Our members, consisting of talented individuals from SMA Pradita Dirgantara were moved to make a change in tackling the excessive use of plastic and promoting the 3R movement, community empowerment through research and technology, and social action. We believe in the importance of collaboration, commitment, and dedication to achieve sustainability to have a broad impact. Currently, we are in the process of developing research on a trash collector ship and a waste monitoring application. In the future, we hope to conduct trials in the nearest river and involve the community in taking action to preserve marine ecosystem integrity, in line with the vision to develop SDGs. We have conducted campaigns in 37 provinces about small actions that students can take to combat plastic pollution, with the support of SMA Ambassadors throughout Indonesia. We have also coordinated with environmental organizations to implement circular business and will take action in sea turtle conservation as a manifestation of our concern for marine animals affected by plastic pollution. Let's take steps together to fight against plastic waste.
