ICSA's Aquaponics
Our project aims to revolutionize food security and sustainability in Côte d'Ivoire through the implementation of aquaponics systems.
Our project aims to revolutionize food security and sustainability in Côte d'Ivoire through the implementation of aquaponics systems. In a nation where 40% of the population faces food insecurity and malnutrition, our solution offers a solid approach.
With the support of the IB Global Youth Action Fund, we seek to expand our impact significantly. Reinvesting in and enhancing our prototype allows us to offer more efficient and scalable systems tailored to diverse community needs. Then, by introducing these systems in schools, prisons, and NGOs (starting with SOS Village d’Abobo), we aim to inspire and educate the next generation of environmental leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
Our vision for aquaponics in Côte d'Ivoire extends to empowering communities with the knowledge to build and maintain their systems. We will conduct workshops and educational programs to raise awareness about the benefits of aquaponics and foster widespread adoption.
Ultimately, our goal is to create a sustainable and resilient future for Côte d'Ivoire, where communities thrive on locally grown, nutritious food. With the IB Global Youth Action Fund, we will drive positive change, transform thousands of lives, and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger in our nation.
