International Model United Nations
Since IntMUN's inception, I knew I wanted to focus on supporting beginners who wanted to try MUN, and increase MUN accessibility world-wide.
I'm proud to say that I'm on my way to achieving this goal. But I couldn't have done this alone. I'm thankful to my team who has worked tirelessly to organise courses to teach beginners MUN basics and design Instagram posts to supplement this. I'm beyond proud that some of them have started using the skills they've developed to found MUNs in their own countries: Karol(Poland), began ZoliborzMUN and Annika & Mia(USA), started USMUN. To support them, and other new conferences, IntMUN started the Global MUN Network to connect conferences globally and provide resources and networking opportunities. On a community-based level, IntMUN has worked with schools in Malaysia to enable students to initiate self-sustaining MUN programmes. I hope my efforts to spread MUN will help my fellow youths develop critical-thinking skills through debating solutions to current transnational issues and also empower them with the leadership skills needed to address the SDGs.
