International Youth Model United Nations
When we think about diplomacy, too often it feels like a distant concept—something reserved for capital cities, elite schools or people in suits.
International Youth Model United Nations (IYMUN) exists to change that. Founded by students, for students, IYMUN creates inclusive, accessible spaces where young people from all backgrounds can engage with global issues, build confidence in public speaking, and learn the skills of negotiation, research and international cooperation. We run free, virtual MUN conferences that have already welcomed youth from across 20 countries.
We know what it’s like to feel excluded from these spaces. That’s why we’re working to democratise access to diplomacy, offering workshops, training sessions and mentorship to help bridge the gap between opportunity and potential.
We are so grateful to our dedicated Secretariat, including our Heads of Social Media, Deputy Secretary-General and Head of Logistics, whose tireless efforts make each conference possible. Together, we are committed to expanding IYMUN’s impact by reaching more underserved communities and offering free, high-quality workshops and resources to schools.
IYMUN’s mission is to democratise access to global diplomacy. We hope to continue building a diverse network of young changemakers ready to shape a more inclusive world! Maybe it's just a simulation. But we think simulating change is how real change begins.
