Profile
Jugalbandish
Starting in 2023, Jugalbandish has been a passionate endeavour to merge music and philanthropy by hosting a vibrant inter-school Battle of the Bands at Pathways School, Gurgaon.
With the support of the MYP council and dedicated student volunteers, we raised 40,000 INR in our inaugural year, thereby funding the installation of keyboards at Lotus Petal Foundation school. Building on this success, the March 2024 edition saw substantial growth, raising over 1,00,000 INR and expanding revenue sources from ticket sales to include merchandise and food sales. Our immediate goal is to establish a fully-equipped music room at Lotus Petal Foundation, fulfilling the vision of providing quality education in and through the performing arts, especially for the disadvantaged. Through diversified revenue streams including food stalls, carnival games, and merchandise, Jugalbandish now aims to transition from an individual led project to becoming a sustainable annual festival, driven by student leadership and social impact. Through the funding, we aspire to create a legacy that transcends generations, championing the transformative power of music in building a more equitable society, one that is aligned with the mission of SDG-4 Quality Education.
