Poor people do not deserve poor solutions.

MasterChef4Many (M4M) is a youth-led initiative that mobilises children, families and communities to provide nutritious and delicious meals to underprivileged children. Founded in 2018, the project began as a simple idea to share a love for cooking beyond the home, and has since grown into a network of over 500 families, student volunteers and restaurant partners across Mumbai.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, M4M distributed over 160,000 meals, including large-scale daily support for BMC relief efforts. Building on this experience, I launched the Orphanage Nutrition Project in 2024 to address gaps in the nutritional quality of meals provided at orphanages. While many children receive basic meals, these often lack essential nutrients required for healthy development. The project supplements weekly meals with fruits, vegetables, nuts and other nutrient-rich foods, and currently supports over 500 children across five centres.

M4M aims to create a scalable, youth-driven model that improves access to nutritious food while building a strong culture of volunteerism. By strengthening community partnerships and expanding to more centres, the project hopes to contribute meaningfully to SDG 2: Zero Hunger, ensuring that every child not only has enough to eat, but is truly nourished.
