NeuraMath
NeuraMath is an AI-assisted scanning pen designed to support students who struggle with mathematics, especially those with dyscalculia. Many students find it difficult to follow multi-step problems, and in large classrooms they often do not receive enough individual support.
This can lead to frustration and loss of confidence. The device works by scanning a math problem and using OCR and a fine-tuned AI model to generate clear, step-by-step explanations. These explanations are structured in a way that reduces cognitive overload by breaking problems into smaller, understandable steps.
The goal is not just to give answers, but to help students understand the process behind solving them. We hope to develop NeuraMath into a tool that students can use independently, both inside and outside the classroom. With support from the Global Youth Action Fund, we aim to improve its accuracy, speed, and usability, and begin testing it with real students to measure its impact on understanding and confidence in math.
