Profile
NeuroLoo
NeuroLoo is a wearable headband system designed to help students recognize when they are cognitively overwhelmed while studying. It uses a EEG headband that measures brain activity and determines what a baseline state is for the user.
When the system detects signs of cognitive overload meaning irregular brain patterns it sends a signal to a digital desk clock through Bluetooth which lights up as a reminder to take a break. The goal of NeuroLoo is to help prevent burnout and improve how students manage their study habits and how much content they actually remember.
Many students continue working even when they are exhausted because they can only identify cognitive exhaustion when it becomes physical which affects both their academic performance and mental health. This project focuses on early detection so students can take breaks at the right time instead of overwork themselves until they feel completely mentally and physically overwhelmed.
I hope to use this project to raise awareness about cognitive overload and show that small and simple inventions can make a big difference. My aim is to develop NeuroLoo into something available and accessible for students in all learning environments.
