Ocean Eyes is a thriving student-led organization, comprising of young, passionate individuals from the Aga Khan Academy, Momasa.

It has evolved over the past three years with a focus on coral reef conservation along the Kenyan coast. Our project falls under SDG 14 which focuses on life below water. We aim to play our part and inspire other youth in our local community of Mombasa to take action to save our planet, and to make the lives of marine organisms as well as coastal communities much better! Besides this, our project aligns with the Aga Khan Development Network's principles, emphasizing a multi-input and community-centered approach to development. We are students from various cultural, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds working together to change the world! Ocean Eyes has successfully engaged eight schools so far, and as a team we aim to expand our impact. We want to leverage our experiences and knowledge to empower more students from diverse backgrounds in more Kenyan schools along the coast!
