Paper is not trash
Armenia is facing growing environmental challenges such as deforestation and pollution, which threaten public health and biodiversity. In response, I created a project called P.I.N.T. (Paper Is Not Trash) to make recycling more engaging, educational, and impactful.
My solution includes a smart recycling box that weighs collected paper and rewards users with eco-friendly items. The box connects to a website that offers an e-learning platform, where students can learn about sustainability, take quizzes, and earn certificates. To extend the impact offline, the project also supports tree planting initiatives using funds raised through donations and eco-kit sales.
By combining technology, education, and community action, P.I.N.T. aims to reduce paper waste, inspire environmental responsibility in schools, and contribute to reforestation efforts. Through this project, I hope to empower young people in Armenia — and around the world — to take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future.
