Project Kimchi: Kimchi with kindness
"Kimchi for Kindness" is a project that aims to bring together different generations of Korea by making and delivering Kimchi to the elderly who live alone. Due to the rapid aging population and rapid industrialization, Korea is facing an epidemic of loneliness and isolation--especially for the older generations.

This is due to generations of rapid economic growth that have changed cultural values and what it means to be a community. We have started this project by delivering 30 kg of handmade kimchi that 200 students made to the elderly community near our school. We are aiming to make monthly donations of Kimchi to that community using the Global Youth Action Fund.
