Project Neer is a student-led community-focused initiative that addresses water scarcity and related challenges in rural areas.

The project was born out of recognizing rural India's critical need for sustainable water solutions. We aim to provide sustainable solutions to ensure clean and safe water access, promote conservation practices, and raise awareness about water-related issues. Currently, most of our work is focused on Mangar, Haryana, where we have built a functioning johad (percolation pond) to recharge groundwater. Our project started last year, and it took about a year to complete our pilot project. For our 2nd phase in 2024, we're creating a documentary about water usage in India, while simultaneously working on building a filtration system to revive the borewells in the rural area of Mangar. Our efforts aim to create lasting change, empowering rural areas to manage their water resources effectively.
