Project Pragati is a grassroots initiative dedicated to reducing school dropouts due to menstruation among adolescent girls in rural India.

Project Pragati is a grassroots initiative dedicated to reducing school dropouts due to menstruation among adolescent girls in rural India.

We tackle this vast issue through its root causes: the lack of education about menstruation, and the lack of access to menstrual hygiene facilities. Through personalised education sessions in local languages using our very own curriculum, we empower girls with knowledge about their bodies, debunk myths, and provide eco-friendly sanitary products. Our approach not only addresses immediate hygiene needs but also creates a cultural shift by challenging taboos surrounding menstruation. Moreover, we empower girls to become advocates in their own communities, creating a ripple effect of education and empowerment. With support from global platforms like the United Nations and media coverage, Project Pragati aims to break the cycle of menstrual stigma and empower girls to pursue their education without compromise. Through sustainable initiatives like sanitary napkin manufacturing units, and empowering girls in rural areas to conduct their own awareness sessions, we strive to create lasting change and a brighter, liberated future for all girls in India and globally. We strive to see a world where a period is the end of a sentence, not the end of a girl's schooling.
