Project Solar - Solar Solutions to Empower Rural India
With Project Solar, we are on a mission to transform and empower local villages in South India with sustainable energy solutions. Millions of women and children in India spend hours laboriously queueing up to collect water. Due to the lack of a reliable and powerful water supply, millions of farmers in India are unable to grow a second crop which could help them combat food shortage and increase their income. In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Number 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, our mission is to drive significant change and help villagers adopt newer and sustainable technological solutions.

We plan to create an impact by constructing and installing solar water pumps in local villages for the purpose of solar powered irrigation. We will also be installing a solar water pump model in order to help educate thousands of farmers on sustainable agriculture. We aim to utilise solar technology to quicken the water retrieval process and eliminate the adverse effects that diesel powered pumps have on our environment. Through Project Solar, we strive to educate communities and young people on the necessity of sustainable development for our planet!
