Project UJALA - low cost sustainable electricity grid using salt water and solar panels

Project UJALA is an initiative to illuminate remote, off-grid villages of India through the use of salt water as an electrolyte to generate electricity.

Project UJALA is an initiative to illuminate remote, off-grid villages of India through the use of salt water as an electrolyte to generate electricity.

It leverages a sustainable and cost-effective technology to power a low-cost sustainable electricity grid using salt water and solar panels. We started with providing 4 salt water lamps to each home of a dark village and are further developing a centralized solar powered and charged concentrated salt water reservoir to provide electricity to smaller communities of 25-30 homes. Through this initiative, we are not just lighting up homes, we are sparking a movement towards affordable, clean energy, empowering villagers with knowledge, safety, and economic opportunities.
