READ - Revamped English Acquisition and Development

It first started out in June 2023 as a part of my IB MYP Y5 Personal Project, and was developed as an english activity book to help underprivileged learners near Bangalore, India improve in their foundational literacy skills of the language. English is such a major skill to acquire and can be life-changing as a means of communication in so many aspects. Hence, I created a 100 page book for grade 1-5 learners, filled with activities to develop grammar, vocabulary, and help them communicate through basic sentences. Initially for my Personal Project, I printed and donated 500 copies around my school and city.

As of now, I've donated a total of 1,100 around my state, impacting almost 3,000 students in rural and underprivileged backgrounds. Millions of children who do not have basic educational resources may struggle in their future, and by providing thousands of learners with the skill of English, I aim to help them in their future, especially with the role of this language for employment opportunities. One book at a time, one learner at a time - India's and the world's English literacy will surely improve!
