Rescued Bites

Hunger is a never-ending issue in our community so we created a project that focused on bringing change by distributing food. We partnered with an organisation named Ayyimitu Unn Which translates to "Share the food with the needy before you eat". This organisation installs refrigerators around Chennai and encourages the public to donate food, so that those who need nourishment can come and take it in a dignified manner. However we noticed that these refrigerators remained empty due to a lack of support from the public. Our team reached out to restaurants which were able to provide their excess food to our refrigerator on a regular basis to keep constant flow of food to the community. Food is a basic human necessity and it is upon us to ensure that it is available to everyone. Our team of superheroes hope to break the barriers of our society such as poverty due to resource scarcity. We, Rescued Bites hope to shatter these stereotypes in order to feed our starving citizens, after all, to eat is to live with respect.
