In the Indian capital region, 300,000 waste pickers work tirelessly to keep our streets clean, mange our waste and keep our environment in check.

Yet, they remain invisible. Roughly 70% in the NCR are unregistered under government welfare schemes, leaving them without a safety net due to lack of awareness, inaccessibility and documentation barriers.

This is where Project Sahyog Setu comes in. Sahyog means collaboration. Setu means bridge. We bridge the gap between registering authoritiesand waste-pickers. We don't create new schemes; we connect existing ones to the unregistered wastepickers through a five-stage process cycle.

We host outreach camps where waste pickers and officials meet at a common point. We assist with digital registration and explain how these benefits unlock financial stability, healthcare, and better working conditions. In the next 6 months, we will hold 15 outreach camps and register 1000 wastepickers across NCR. Our mission is to move this marginalized community from the shadows into the system.

By fostering meaningful collaboration, we aim to reduce inequality and ensure that those who care for our environment are, in turn, cared for by society. Our ultimate measure of success is the long-term social and economic inclusion of every worker we reach.
