Profile
Śhikshā
Śhikshā is a student-led initiative that operates within local Nilgiri communities, where we systematically collect partially used notebooks, extract usable pages, and rebind them into fully functional notebooks for redistribution.
The project is rooted in sustainability, not just by reducing paper waste, but by extending the lifecycle of existing resources through a circular approach. By addressing both environmental impact and educational inequality, Śhikshā's first-person narration highlights the complexity of resource distribution—where excess and scarcity coexist within the same system.
Our goal is to create a scalable model that challenges conventional consumption patterns while making access to education more equitable and sustainable.
