Sowing Seeds of Change - Blue Frog

We sell pepper, turmeric, and coconut oil to consumers across Bangalore. We hope to use the grant to make farmers self-reliant by selling their produce through Blue Frog for better returns. Our plan involves starting a subscription service, hosting training workshops, and distributing starter kits. We will collaborate with like-minded peers to buy produce from local farmers and sell it in more residential communities, thereby providing farmers with a stable income. Training workshops hosted by student volunteers in farming communities will teach farmers and their children to brand, market, and sell produce without relying on intermediaries. Finally, a customizable starter kit containing custom labels and packaging will help farmers add value, market, and promote their products, increasing their returns. We aim to transform the lives of 80+ farmers by June 2024 and positively impact farming communities. A stable and guaranteed income means more money for farmers to invest in their children's education and community development. We believe farmers should not remain faceless; Fairtrade gives them an identity!
