Talk.Believe.Work.Peace (T.B.W.P)
Inspired by Eleanor Roosevelt’s words, Talk.Believe.Work.Peace is a trailblazing initiative dedicated to the UN SDG Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
Our project has 4 interconnected parts, which fit together to create a synergy effect. The Advocacy in “Talk” is brought together through student research projects, investigating human rights abuses. Our visual representations of peace in “Believe” will come from creative submissions made by students in our community. These two sectors lead to “Work,” where students collect pledges for donations based on laps in a “walkathon,” to donate to humanitarian organizations. Finally, these sectors culminate into “Peace,” allowing our future changemakers to discuss these issues through student-led panels and documentaries of student experiences, preparing the youth to mitigate issues in the future. Through various opportunities for engagement, we advocate for global change, and hope to promote one message: the need for peace. We aim to create a movement for other young leaders to follow and replicate, a framework that would be the stepping stone for instigating groundbreaking change. 4 parts, 4 ways to make a lasting impact, and 4 ways to be the change the world needs.
