TheKnitfit.co is a non-profit initiative founded to address the lack of sufficient initiatives towards health and well being of those in the rural community.
Our aim is to revive the art of knitting & crocheting manually as opposed to fast fashion enterprise thereby reviving a fading art form to young unskilled women which does not require heavy training and investment. By making simple products such as toys & fashion accessories these young women are self sufficient in a simple vocation. Through extensive outreach using social media and word of mouth recognition we aim to generate sufficient sales to empower 80 women per year and the profits from the sale of these goods will be used for installing water filters in rural homes, build water tanks and washing stations at remote schools, toilets within homes and pay for cataract camps and simple medical surgeries.
